Coverup Of 2025 Murder Of A Black Man In Oakland’s Diamond Canyon Per OPD FilesThis story came to be via Oakland resident Saleem Gilmore, who’s a regular reader of my content and that on Zennie62Media, Inc. platforms ZennieReport.com, Zennie62Blog.com, Zennie62 YouTube Channel, Oakland Focus, and also my blog once on the website of the San Francisco Chronicle (still should be). It’s a sad story of the coverup of the murder of a black man in Oakland, first via two conflicting reports from Oakland Police, and before that a shameful news brief in the publication called Oaklandside, where the Editor-in-Chief Tasneem Raja allowed news columnist Darwin BondGraham to gaslight the claims of others on social media that the death of this black man was a homicide, where Darwin wrote they had no evidence.BondGraham apparently did not try to find the smoking gun, but an Oaklander named Dr. Amn did: it was the Oakland Police Report of last year dated 6-30-2025 7:28 AM, and which is used as the thumbnail for this livestream. That spurred Dr. AMN to write a must-read Substack called “Hanging in Dimond Canyon, Part II”. From here, I present Dr. AMN’s words from it. As well as a video from the person who told me about it via a message on Nextdoor, Oakland resident Saleem Gillmore. He also asked me to play his video, which I will do to start here. Now, here are excerpts from Dr. Amn’s work:OAKLAND, Calif. — On June 30, a Black man was found hanging from a tree along Oakland’s Dimond Canyon—just blocks from where I walk with my eight-year-old son.The police offered little more than a preliminary assessment: suicide. Over three months later: No name. No press conference. No facts. For Oakland’s Black community, the image of a Black man hanging from a tree cannot be separated from history. The city was once a stronghold for the Ku Klux Klan. It recalls the racial terror of lynchings, many Black families migrated from the South to escape “strange fruit”hanging from Poplar trees only to find the same racist attitudes on the West Coast.Nationally, we’ve seen this before. In 2020, Malcolm Harsch and Robert Fuller were found hanging in Southern California. Both deaths were labeled suicides despite widespread suspicion. In 2024, Dennoriss Richardson was found hanging in Alabama; his case was deemed suicide until the FBI intervened. And this year, two more Black men—one in Mississippi, another in New York—were found hanging under similarly troubling circumstances. Each time, families and communities were left with questions, and institutions responded with silence.Steps I TookAfter publishing my first piece on Substack (here:https://ift.tt/c5VlPmv), I filed a public records request with the Oakland Police Department on Aug. 11. I received the Incident Report on Aug. 26. The case type: “Homicide.” The Statute Code reads “SC UNDTH”—Undetermined Death. I prepared to release the document publicly but paused after conversations with elected officials and community leaders. Some, in touch with the family, told me they wanted privacy. Out of respect, I held back. (Incident report presented in livestream. Incident Report received from the Oakland Police Department in response to a public records request (additional redactions to respect privacy)On Aug. 29, Oaklandside reported that the Alameda County Coroner’s Office had ruled the death a suicide. I filed a request with the Coroner’s Office and received the report on Sept. 2.The Manner of Death: SuicideThe Cause of Death: HangingDeath Certificate Signed By: (blank)The report stated that officials “cut him down from the tree and determined his death based on obvious signs.” Yet the same report noted that no letter of intent was found, no suicidal ideations were known, and there was “no suspicion of foul play.”Zennie Abraham on what Oaklandside wrote: This is what Darwin wrote and Tasmeen Raja allowed to be published:Some Oakland residents took to social media after learning about the man’s death, calling on OPD to explain what happened. Some claimed, without evidence, that the death was a homicide and that the man, who was Black, had been “lynched.”But there was evidence: Dr. Amn got the Oakland Police Report of last year dated 6-30-2025 7:28 AM, and which is used as the thumbnail for this livestream. The rest of this presents Dr. Amn’s work. The main questions are why the coverup, and who is the black man murdered, and why?

Note from https://ZennieReport.com,  Zennie62 YouTube,  and Zennie62Media: this https://ift.tt/FPtxw3y video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018.

This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. This is what we call “The Third Wave of Media”.

The uploaded video is either from a YouTuber vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, or from a YouTube Channel that has uploaded a video with a keyword that triggers our predetermined keyword, and so then it is posted.  In either case, the video is  uploaded to and formatted automatically at the CES Las Vegas News site and Zennie62Media -created and owned social media pages.

The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, thus less chance for Zennie62Blog, Zennie62 YouTube vloggers to be robbed.

The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology investors and partners.
