Later in the evening, President Trump and the First Lady participate in a greeting at 6:40 PM, followed by a receiving line at 6:45 PM. At 7:15 PM, President Trump and the First Lady attend a black tie dinner with the Crown Prince and the Saudi delegation and business community and the head of both Saudi and US CEOs.
The day concludes with a final farewell at 9:10 PM.
On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the Crown Prince along with President Trump and more than 400 CEOs of both Saudi and US companies will attend the US-Saudi investment forum at the Kennedy Center. After the conclusion of the participation, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman departs the US.
Purpose of the visit
This is Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s first visit to Washington, DC, since 2018 and his first White House visit of President Trump’s second term.
U.S. and Saudi officials describe this trip as focused on locking in a new strategic framework for the relationship:
1. Economic & investment agenda
• The visit is framed as a follow-up to the $600 billion Saudi investment commitment in the United States that Trump announced during his May 2025 trip to Riyadh. That package spans defense, energy, critical minerals, infrastructure, and advanced technology and was billed as the largest set of commercial agreements ever between the two countries.
• Another area of discussion tomorrow is rare minerals, with both the United States and Saudi Arabia exploring opportunities for cooperation to secure critical supply chains and support emerging technologies.
• The agreement that will be signed on Nov. 18 and the US-Saudi investment forum on Nov. 19 are meant to highlight deals and new partnerships in AI, energy infrastructure and logistics, and to reassure both sides’ business communities that the May commitments will translate into concrete projects.
2. Defense & Security pact
• Washington and Riyadh are in intensive talks over a U.S.–Saudi security guarantee, modeled on the recent U.S. pledge to Qatar: an executive-level commitment to treat an attack on Saudi Arabia as a threat to the United States, but short of a formal treaty that would require Senate ratification.
• The discussions also cover a major new arms package, including advanced U.S. systems. President Trump stated yesterday in the oval office that he will be selling F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, building on a previously announced defense cooperation package valued near $142 billion, which the White House billed as the largest U.S. defense sale in history.
3. Civilian Nuclear Cooperation
Progress toward a U.S.–Saudi civilian nuclear agreement will be a central item on the agenda, as Riyadh seeks a clear pathway to developing its own nuclear energy capabilities under U.S. oversight.
4. Regional Issues
- The conflict in Sudan will be a key topic of discussion between the two leaders, with Saudi Arabia expected to press strongly for a ceasefire as part of its broader diplomatic push to stabilize the region and an immediate access to humanitarian aid.
- The Saudis endorsed Trump’s 20 points plan for Gaza. Once Gaza is stabilized, the Saudis will help in the reconstruction of the strip. The Crown Prince supports the establishment of a Palestinian state as a the only path to a lasting peace in the region. The Saudis will not be joining the Abraham accord on this visit.
- The stabilization of Syria will be another key topic. Saudis have been instrumental in persuading President Trump to lift sanctions on Syria. The two leaders will also discuss future investment plans for US and Saudis in Syria.
- The two leaders are expected to discuss regional issues including Lebanon, Yemen and Iran.
Context
The trip follows President Trump’s May 2025 Gulf tour, where he chose Riyadh for his first overseas visit of the new term and announced the $600 billion investment framework and the record Saudi arms deal. The White House has framed the relationship as an anchor of U.S. strategy on energy and post-war regional architecture.
Background
Strategic relationship:
The U.S.–Saudi partnership dates back more than eight decades to the 1945 meeting between President Franklin D. Roosevelt and King Abdulaziz aboard the USS Quincy. Today the U.S. describes Saudi Arabia as one of its largest Middle Eastern trading partners, with two-way goods trade near $26 billion in 2024 and growing Saudi investment in U.S. real estate, transportation and manufacturing.
Vision 2030 & economic diversification:
Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is the chief architect of Vision 2030, an ambitious plan to diversify the Saudi economy away from oil, privatize parts of the public sector, and build new sectors such as tourism, entertainment, advanced manufacturing and AI. Many of the deals discussed in Washington — from energy cooperation to mining and logistics — are framed as supporting Vision 2030’s goals.

Note from ZennieReport.com, Zennie62 YouTube, and ZennieReport.com: this ZennieReport video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. This is what we call “The Third Wave of Media”.
The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the ZennieReport.com Blog site and Zennie62Media -created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, thus less chance for ZennieReport.com, Zennie62 YouTube vloggers to be robbed.
The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
