In Supergirl Season 2 Episode 13, Kara Danvers is harassed by the 5th-dimensional trickster Mr. Mxyzptlk, who persistently proposes to her. To outwit him, Kara pretends to accept his proposal and suggests a wedding at the Fortress of Solitude the next day 💍❄️. Mr. Mxyzptlk joyfully shows up, expecting a real ceremony. However, Kara appears in her Supergirl suit and reveals that the proposal was a ruse to lure him away from civilians. Furious, Mxyzptlk animates the ice statue of Jor-El to attack her 🧊👊. Kara battles the Kryptonian statue and ultimately smashes it, even apologizing to her late uncle as she destroys it 💥😔. Mxyzptlk then threatens to obliterate Earth and follow Kara across the universe unless she marries him 🌍⚠️. As a last resort, Kara locks down the Fortress and activates its self-destruct sequence, willing to sacrifice herself rather than be forced into marriage 🔐💣. Alarmed, Mxyzptlk panics when he realizes the danger is real. Kara offers a way out—a shutdown password using Kryptonian symbols. Not knowing the language, he follows her instructions exactly 🧠🔢. After entering the final symbol, the countdown halts—but the password he entered is actually his own name spelled backward: Mxyzptlk. This magical key triggers a binding contract, forcibly banishing him back to the 5th dimension. As light consumes him, he realizes the trick too late and vanishes in a flash ✨🌀.
