Update On Oakland Saving The Alley Bar And Housing At 3325 Grand Ave With A $250,000 Loan Or Business Grant

I have contacted or been called or texted by or asked to call or email the following Oakland officials:

Miya Saika Chen, Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee’s Chief of Staff (emailed)

• Stephanie Ong, Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee’s Interim Communications Director (called)

• Oakland District One Councilmember Zack Unger (called, he reached out to me and Jackie Simpkins).

• Oakland District Two Councilmember  Charlene Wang (as District Two’s boundary is on Grand Avenue, effectively splitting the Grand Avenue Business District at I-580 to Highland into one area in two council districts. The finger points to the location of The Alley).

• Oakland Chief Administrative Officer Jestin Johnson (called)

Note from ZennieReport.com, Zennie62 YouTube, and ZennieReport.com: this ZennieReport video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. This is what we call “The Third Wave of Media”.

The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the ZennieReport.com Blog site and Zennie62Media -created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, thus less chance for ZennieReport.com, Zennie62 YouTube vloggers to be robbed.

The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.

  1. I realize that there are many businesses in Oakland who need the help of Oakland Government. There are so many in the Alley’s position, that it seems that Oakland Councilmembers have given up. The City of Oakland can’t afford to operate a government of “can’t do”; it must find a way. I believe tax increment financing holds the key.
