My thoughts on the brilliant Super Bowl halftime show put together by Kendrick Lamar. For those of you who don’t know this is a man who wanna pull a surprise for one of his recording, albums, a couple of years ago, and those people who don’t know the Pulitzer Prize it’s the Oscars of the literary world.
There are a lot of things that most white people don’t understand about people of color and other minorities. I think many would like to understand, but at the same time, Brene’ Brown  the activist social worker said it best. When you try to talk about race and racism with white people, too many of us feel attacked, and then get overwhelmed with shame and shut down. 
A good starting place is to just learn the African-American history and contributions to American life that we were not taught in our history classes. It’s just that most of us have an incomplete education about the nature of diversity, and depression. No need to feel shame, unless you actively insist that you do not want to learn.
Ignorance is forgivable. But the intentional arrogance of refusing to learn, may not be forgivable, especially if you had a chance to learn and turned it down.
