Ed Hernandez Said He “Baited” Bryan Azevedo San Leandro Councilmember At Library Forum

San Leandro, CA – (Special to ZennieReport.com) When this blogger first blogged about what is now referred to as the “Library Forum Incident”, I surmised that the entire affair, both the debate and the event afterward, was staged as a set up to trigger the emotions of San Leandro Councilmember Bryan Azevedo.

San Leandro City Councilmembers Azevedo And Thomas Fake Fight A Setup?

This is what I wrote about the Library event some called a fight:

The reported physical altercation  between San Leandro city council member Bryan Azevedo and former San Leandro council member Lee Thomas during a San Leandro Democratic Club candidate forum on September 7th is reported to have been picked up by a camera in the hallway of the library venue used for the event.

Moreover, Zennie62Media was informed that the not-yet-released video from that source tells a vastly different story than the one pushed by a media personality allegedly hired to put out dirt about Councilmember Azevedo, and a news organization (the East Bay Times / Mercury News) that endorsed former San Leandro council member Ed Hernandez, Azevedo’s 2020 Election rival he defeated.

The Mercury News reporter Chase Hunter wrote that “Thomas said he was accosted after he began filming a conversation outside of the forum between Azevedo and blogger Steven Tavares of East Bay Insiders”.

The basic event facts are agreed upon: “ The San Leandro Democratic Club held a public forum on Saturday September 7th to provide endorsements for candidates in local races, including City Council Districts 2 and 6, East Bay Municipal Utility District Ward 5 and East Bay Regional Parks Ward 4. Azevedo is a current San Leandro city councilmember for District 2, and ran for mayor of San Leandro in 2022.

However, there was no actual fight, only a near confrontation that reportedly started when former Councilmember Thomas said words to current Councilmember Azevedo (and threatened his mother by pushing a camera in her face against her request to stop), and Azevedo then turned around to see what was going on. Thomas was approaching Azevedo, yet being held back by Lopez, who can be seen holding his shoulder, in the library video, while Tavares was reportedly watching in the background.  Azevedo said he walked away, but Thomas was following him into the parking lot saying “I’m going to get you!”

The Story Of The First Setup During The Debate That Ed Hernandez Admits To Doing

Since that post, a number of San Leandro politicos have told me I was correct about the setup. What I did not know was that it involved a set of supporters of Ed Hernandez (pictured), and included Bryan and his mother from the start. This set of not-so-good people walked in with an agenda. of bothering Bryan and his Mom. A phone call confirmed what I believed.

I got a phone call from a well-connected source who does not wish to be named until after the November 5th election, and backed by other well-connected sources who also don’t want to be identified, said that I was correct.  And the well-connected source who does not wish to be named until after the November 5th election source told their story to me.

“I saw your article, the well-connected source explained, and said to myself ‘I gotta say something’.  “What happened was that Ed Hernandez came off the stage after the Forum, before the incident in the hallway.  And said ‘Did you like the way I baited him (referring to Bryan).   Ed had constantly gone over his time limits, and Jim had tried to stop him.   There was something going on, on the stage, and Ed said something to Bryan, and Bryan responded.'”

The source continued “The auditorium was packed. There was tension on the stage.   Ed kept going over the limit, then baited him.  Then walked by me and said ‘Did you like the way I baited him’.  She compared Ed’s behavior to then-President Donald Trump versus Joe Biden in 2020, where Trump tried to bait Biden by talking over and past his time limit, and being insulting to Councilmember Azevedo and telling untruths.

“Later Ed came up to me in the hallway after the hallway confusion, and said ‘I have an alibi.  I was in a different part of the library,’ and smiled with glee.  He clearly acted like he got away with something”, referring to the Lee Thomas harassing of Councilmember Azevedo and his mother.

That news goes with the previous presentation of former San Leandro Councilmember Lee Thomas.  According to many reports, Thomas, a friend and supporter of Ed Hernandez, tried to harass Bryan Azevedo’s 70-year old mother by pointing his camera in her face.  That was done to trigger Azevedo into doing what he did, which was to approach Thomas to defend his mother.

Lee Thomas claims he did nothing wrong, and claims he talked to the San Leandro Police.  But to this date, Thomas has not posted his video of Bryan Azevedo’s 70-year old mother.  If he has nothing to hide, Mr. Thomas should post the video.   Obviously, there’s something in that video Lee Thomas does not want you or I to see.

Backers Of Ed Hernandez Standing Behind Councilmember Azevedo’s Mother During Debate Insulting Her Son

And another attendee at the Forum Debate told me that two supporters of Ed Hernandez were standing directly behind Councilmember Azevedo’s Mother and making insulting comments about Bryan Azevedo. So, take stock: we have Ed Hernandez trying to “bait” the Councilmember during the debate, two of Hernandez’ supporters (I have the names) harassing his mother in the audience, and eventually, Lee Thomas trying to bother her by sticking a camera in her face. Who does this? What kind of evil people do this?

The former San Leandro Councilmembers who can’t stand that they lost their elections in the recent past, that’s who. Zennie62Media was hired to counter the negative, constant, paid, media focusing on Councilmember Azevedo, and get out the truth Ed Hernandez’ ex-councilmember supporters don’t want you to know about.
