Bring Marsir Amari Robinson Home Now Event For Missing Oakland Black Teen

Oakland (Special to ZennieReport.com) – On this Thursday, September 16th, 2024, Pastor Fabian Robinson will be joined by community and faith leaders for a 1 PM PST event called “Bring Marsir Amari Robinson home now!”

UPDATE: PRESS CONFERENCE CANCELLED.

The press release looks like this:

Bring Marsir Amari Robinson home now!

Press Conference Thursday September 19,

1 PM PST, 2723 San Pablo Av, Oakland

14 year old Marsir Amari Robinson has been missing for over a month, he was last seen on August 13, 2024.

At the invitation of Marsir’s family, Charlene Wang, Pastor Fabian Robinson, and community leaders will be holding a press conference at the Robinson’s family church, Miraculous Lord, to call for his safe return.

They’ll call for community members who have seen Marsir to speak up, and highlight the need to adequately fund community police and youth programs that protect Oakland’s youth.

A Sad Problem That’s One Of Both Boys And Girls In Oakland

But the problem it points to, the effort to find the missing child named Marsir Amari Robinson, once again brings focus to a problem not highlighted enough: the abduction of children of color in Oakland.

Indeed, the horror that Oakland faces was the focus of an article in the non-profit news publication Oaklandside, last year called “Community leaders are pleading for Oakland to protect young, Black people from trafficking”.   In the article written by Kristal Raheem, the focus was on girls and women, not boys and men.

The fact is that boys and men are targets too.  Marsir Amari Robinson has been gone for over a month, and counting.

Too often of late, the habit is to divide the plight of missing black girls and boys, and get the matter mixed up in the overarching male / female debate that really has nothing to do with kids who need someone to look after them.

In the case of 5’2 130 lbs Marsir Amari Robinson, 14 years old, and last seen on the 500th block of 19th Street on August 13th, 2024, it’s clear that he’s been missing for over a month, and no one has reported any new news about him.

So, come and help lend a voice and search to find the missing Black teen that is Marsir Amari Robinson.  Join Pastor Fabian Robinson at Bring Marsir Amari Robinson home now, Thursday!

The Press Conference is Thursday September 19, 1 PM PST, at 2723 San Pablo Av, Oakland, California.
