Bay FC announces international call ups for Concacaf W Gold Cup, February FIFA window 

San Francisco (Special to ZennieReport.com) Bay FC, the Bay Area’s new women’s professional soccer franchise in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), today announced that goalkeeper Lysianne Proulx and forward Asisat Oshoala, Racheal Kundananji have been called in by their respective national teams to participate in matches during the upcoming international window. Additionally, defender Savy King will be joining the U.S. U-20 Youth Women’s National Team for training camp and matches.  
 
Forward Scarlett Camberos was also called in during the window by the Mexico Women’s National Team to participate in the Concacaf W Gold Cup from Feb. 20-March 10, but has been ruled out due to injury. Proulx and the Canada Women’s National Team are set to participate in the Gold Cup. Oshoala joins the Nigeria Women’s National Team and Kundananji will be with the Zambia Women’s National Team for the 2024 CAF Women’s Olympic qualifying tournament. King will travel to Colombia to train with the U.S. U-20s and play matches as they continue preparations for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup this summer. 
 
For Canada, the team will play their group stage matches in Houston, Texas at Shell Energy Stadium. In Group C, Canada will face El Salvador or Guatemala on Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. (Pacific) before facing Paraguay on Feb. 25; kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (Pacific). Canada concludes group play against Costa Rica on Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. (Pacific). The top two teams of each group and the two-best third-placed teams at the Gold Cup will advance to the knockout stage. 
 
In the third round of their qualification tournament for the Olympics, Nigeria will play a two-legged playoff (home and away) against Cameroon on Feb. 23 and Feb. 26. The team with the highest aggregate score across the two legs will advance to the final round in April. Kundananji and Zambia will play matches on Feb. 23 and Feb. 28 against Ghana. If both Nigeria and Ghana advance to the fourth round, the winners of the fourth-round ties in April will qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
