Lizzo Draws Lawsuit Campaign To Destroy Her Image

FacebookEmailBloggerLinkedInTwitterShare

For some true reason not revealed there’s a concerted campaign to destroy the image of the famed entertainer Lizzo via a lawsuit. Since last week, August 2nd, ZENNIE62MEDIA, INC. has received not less than four press releases pointing to not-confirmed drops in Lizzo’s social media follower count.

That follows reports that Lizzo allegedly sexually and verbally harassed dancers who worked for her. What follows is a sample of what has been sent to ZENNIE62MEDIA, INC. to date.

Lizzo Loses Over 220,000 Followers on Instagram Amid Sexual Harassment and Body-Shaming Claims

That was the headline of the press release sent to ZENNIE62MEDIA; here’s the rest.

Lizzo has lost a significant number of followers on Instagram as allegations emerge of sexual harassment and body-shaming.

A lawsuit has been filed against the pop star, her dance captain Shirlene Quigley, and production company Big Grrrl Big Touring by three former dancers. The allegations include assault, racial and religious harassment, fat-shaming, disability discrimination, and false imprisonment. Lizzo has called the last few days “gut wrenchingly difficult” and refuted the “false allegations” as “unbelievable” in a long social media post.

Casino comparison site KingCasinoBonus analyzed data on Lizzo’s social channels via Social Blade, revealing a loss of 226,933 followers on Instagram since the news broke. In just one day, the singer’s follower count fell by a huge 132,942. While on Twitter/X, Lizzo has lost over 27,000 followers since the lawsuit was filed in California on Tuesday 1st August.

Ionut Marin, Chief Editor for KingCasinoBonus commented on the social media figures: “For Lizzo fans, it will be alarming to see their idol accused of body-shaming, assault and more, when she has been such a proponent of body positivity for women all over the world.”

“As the lawsuit continues and new reports emerge, it will be interesting to see how Lizzo’s Instagram followers will fluctuate. With over 24 million monthly listeners on Spotify, we could also see these figures fall over the coming weeks and months as more details are revealed. These reports could also threaten to derail any of the pop star’s music releases and tours in the future.”

Some News Organizations Bash Lizzo, But TMZ Is Not Doing So

While a number of news platforms and shows like Entertainment Tonight have taken up the message that smears Lizzo, TMZ’s not taking the bait. Moreover, while Lizzo has issued a statement saying that the claims are not true, some media outlets have ignored broadcasting her words. TMZ has went against that pattern. Here’s a look at some of the Harvey Levin-managed pop-culture news platform’s coverage:

Lizzo Accusers Claim Dancers Feared Retaliation If They Didn't Do What She Wanted | TMZ

And this from TMZ:

One of the women suing Lizzo claiming she was done dirty by the singer actually sang her praises, AFTER the alleged incidents she says terrorized her.

TMZ has obtained a video shot in April 2023, in which plaintiff Arianna Davis gushes over Lizzo, saying, “It’s been so amazing and such a beautiful journey. I look up to her so much. I just want to follow in her footsteps, and I just want to share that with the Queen Lizzo herself.”

Lizzo’s lawyer, Marty Singer, tells TMZ, “These do not sound like the words of someone who was harassed or discriminated against by someone they described as ‘THE QUEEN.”

What’s critical here … Davis made her comments after the European leg of Lizzo’s tour and after Season 1 of “Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.” All of Davis’ allegations involve alleged incidents before she shot this video — an interview for Season 2 of the show, in which Davis pitches herself as a singer.

Davis and another plaintiff, Crystal Williams, appeared on “TMZ Live” Tuesday and acknowledged they were fired after Lizzo’s team said their dancing was not up to par.

Lizzo’s Full Statements On The Claims Against Her

Here’s Lizzo’s full statement.

“These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional. I am not here to be looked at as a victim but I also know I am not the villain that people and the media have portrayed me to be the last few days…There is nothing I take more seriously than the respect we deserve as women in the world. I know what it feels like to be body shamed on a daily basis and would absolutely never criticize or terminate an employee because of their weight.”

What Are Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez Really Trying To Do?

The question on the floor is what’s Lizzo’s former dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez, really trying to do to Lizzo? It looks like they’re really upset that Lizzo fired them, and are trying to craft negative stories about her.

But the questions is, where did they get the money to hire a public relations organization to help? Answer, speculatively, is they managed to secure lawyers who are apparently running a bad press effort with the end-game of getting some kind of settlement. Lizzo’s worth $40 million according to Celebrity Net Worth.
